Easter Eggs
Holidays are always better at the Disney parks. We decided to spend this Easter Sunday at Epcot and enjoy some seasonal fun. The folks at Disney are always trying to make things more fun. One way they do this is by creating scavenger hunts in the parks. You can buy a map/card to play along, tracking your progress with stickers. When you finish, you can usually get a small prize for participating, by presenting the completed the map. However, you don’t need the card to participate (although you won’t get a prize) and can just wing it like we do. It’s a fun way to keep the parks interesting even for people who go frequently.
You will find scavenger hunts throughout the year, with the themes varying with the season and other promotions. For Easter, they decided to scatter eggs in many of the pavilions. These cute eggs were decorated with many of the famous rabbit characters from various Disney films.
While not technically at Epcot, we also took a walk to Disney’s Grand Floridian and Beach Club Resorts to admire their decorations. As you will see, it was definitely worth getting the extra steps in. Their Easter eggs didn’t disappoint!
International Flower and Garden Festival
A recurring celebration at Epcot is the Flower and Garden Festival. During the festival, which lasts through July 4th weekend, the park is transformed with beautiful flowers and topiaries installed everywhere. You’ll also find flower and garden themed food and merchandise. My favorite by far are the character topiaries though. They’re very imaginative and whimsical.
